I'm Dilima Fernando, a certified Montessori teacher and the proud owner of our Montessori home daycare.

My journey in early childhood education began long before opening my own daycare. I spent more than five years teaching in Montessori schools in Austin and Houston, where I had the privilege of helping young children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

​

In 2022, my life changed in the most beautiful way when my daughter, Levina, was born. Like many working parents, I returned to my teaching career when she was just three months old. Although I loved my work, I found myself worrying about the quality of care my daughter was receiving while I was away. I wanted her to be in a place where she would feel loved, safe, encouraged, and truly understood—not just supervised.

That experience inspired me to follow my heart.

In 2023, I opened my own Montessori home daycare with just one enrolled child. My vision was simple: to create the kind of nurturing environment I wished for my own daughter—a place where children are treated with kindness, respect, patience, and genuine care while learning through the Montessori philosophy.

Over time, more families joined our program through referrals and word of mouth. Watching each child grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence has been the greatest reward.

Today, our daycare is more than a place for children to spend the day—it is a second home where they are loved, encouraged, and supported every step of the way. Every activity is thoughtfully planned to help children learn through exploration, build meaningful relationships, and develop the skills they need for a bright future.

As both a Montessori educator and a mother, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else's care. That is why I treat every child as I would my own—with love, patience, respect, and individual attention.
